And thank you for your question about the correct interpretation of Matthew 21:43. This is a very important text with regard to the discussion about Replacement Theology.
The verse seems to clearly lend support to that perspective. Upon closer examination, however, it can be shown that God is not at all declaring the replacement of Israel with another “nation”.
Because the exegesis of this verse requires a bit more than can be accommodated in this response, on Thursday, July 23rd, I will send out a full article on the subject.
I hope you don’t mind me asking you to allow me to hold off until I can prepare a more thorough response to you question.
