Holding a moment of silence for the demise of the popular saying that God can't use you if you aren't in right standing with Him. I guess the creator and sustainer of the universe doesn't consider Himself bound by the rules we impose on Him.

Well said Kenny. I suppose that if the exercise of our will, for good or ill, compromises or limits the sovereign will of God, we’ll have to redefine what we mean by “the sovereign will of God.”

This is a great reminder. The Lord is sovereign over all. It's just what I needed to be reminded of as my son-in-law is being deployed again tomorrow, and one of my employees (from Iran...his entire family still there) telling me this morning of young Iranian people being hung in the public square this week. Prayers over the entire situation and for the Iranian people to know Christ, and complete faith that The Lord's ways and will being carried out in front of a watching world knowing He is The Lord our God.

Hi Tom,

Pausing to pray for your son-in-law and for the people of Iran.

Amen! This was another great read, Brother Stuart. Just like Assyria in Isaiah 10, the nations (leaders) think they are acting on their own will and desires. Scripture clearly shows that God is in control and it is His will that will be fulfilled.

Blessings to you Scott!
