Jesus wants us to love our enemies. If we open our discipleship only to Christians, aren't we only "preaching to the choir?" Our field of harvest is composed of non-believers. That would be atheists, agnostics, Jews, Buddists, Muslims, Hindus, and any of the "new-age" religious theories out there. So, if we say, "I'm not supporting this or that because we disagree with their behavior," aren't we placing conditions on those we witness to? Our faith, and our reaching out, should be based on the worth of all people who Jesus died for, not on the current status of governments or political winds.

My two cents. :)
